The Cottage at Sealladh Na Beinne

The apartment was clean, comfortable and equipped with new, modern appliances. The kitchen had all of the pots, pans, cutlery and crockery we needed to cook breakfast and evening meals. Everything from the furniture and decor to the cooking utensils appears to have been carefully selected by the owners. The living room and kitchen are upstairs. A skylight window facing south provides you with an astonishing view of the Beinn a'Bheithir mountain. The bedroom downstairs was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and featured soap from The Highland Soap Company. We made use of the washing machine beside the bathroom although the eco-cycle seemed to take hours. The apartment is a short walk away from Ballachulish Bridge (great for taking panoramic photos) and the bar of the Ballachulish Hotel which looks like a picture postcard old castle.

The house itself was very nice, comfortable and lovingly decorated, we immediately felt at home. Beds were very comfortable and that added to our relaxation. Basic amenities are 4 km away from the house. In Fort William (approx. 20 km) you can enjoy walking, eating out or shopping. The bus stops almost in front of the door, so you don't necessarily need your car. It's a pity that two weeks passed quickly. In short, highly recommended! Het huis zelf was ontzettend leuk, comfortabel en met liefde ingericht, we voelden ons direct thuis. Bedden waren erg comfortabel en dat droeg bij onze ontspanning. Basisvoorzieningen zijn op 4 km afstand van het huis. In Fort William (ca. 20 km) kun je leuk wandelen, uiteten of winkelen. De bus stop bijna voor de deur, dus je hebt je auto niet per se nodig. Jammer, dat twee weken zi snel im waren. Kortom, een aanrader!

This was our second trip to the cottage and we love it. Barbara and Arra are great hosts and the cottage has a touch of class and luxury feel. Fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and there is a special view of the mountains from the velux window. A great location overlooking the mountains and also by the coast with loads to do. A short walk to a nice beach and also to the fantastic beer garden at the Loch Leven Hotel. Looking forward to our next visit already!!

Quite excellent upside down cottage with lounge kitchen on upper floor with two large, skylight windows with views out to Glencoe mountains - see photos. Spotless; very good quality furnishings and fittings and very tastefully decorated with interesting small artwork throughout. Very comfortable, king size bed, great walk in shower. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. but allowed us space to enjoy our stay. A superb base for two people. Very pleased to recommend highly!
