The View @ Pier House Glencoe

Glencoe is a perfect base to go hiking, kayaking paddle boarding. You can easily get there from Glasgow by bus (2.5h) has a few really nice pubs and a tearoom. The view is a wonderful accommodation for two. The views are truly stunning -at any time of the day under any weather conditions. The cottage itself has everything you need and is decorated with care and excellent taste. Weve enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Glencoe is the perfect location for hiking and visiting the highlands. Amazing view from the cottage. The cottage itself was just perfect, everything you need is inside, good bed, a very complete kitchen, spacious bathroom and a nice deck to sit outside where you can enjoy the colourful sunsets over Loch Leven. Annie and Andy really made something beautiful here. We would 100% recommend this cottage!

Rooms: Perfectly furnished, plenty of plugs, black out blind really appreciated! Nearby activities: Plenty of hiking and exploring right on the doorstep, perfect for birdwatching and just relaxing by the Loch too! Walkability: Very easily walkable from the nearby pub, cafe and tiny village shop. Food & drinks: The bottle of wine and shortbread on arrival we're such lovely touches and made us feel welcome. The fridge had milk ready for us as well as tea and filter coffee! Noteworthy details: Annie and Andy were such attentive hosts and catered to our every needs instantly providing us with games and advice. They really went above and beyond to make this the perfect place! We really cannot think of any way this could be improved at all!

(Translated by Google) three years ago we had the pleasure of being guests of annie and andy, then at the pier house b&b. there was no question that we would spend a few nights in their new self-catering facility this year. our expectations were high and are more than fulfilled; The house is tastefully and lovingly furnished, everything is very clean, the view is magnificent, there is enough space, everything is well thought out, practical and you feel right at home. it's the little things, like the welcome basket with a card and goodies, the table that's already set, or washing-up liquid that you don't have to buy first, that make your stay extra special. despite the bad weather, we are enjoying our time here to the fullest and are already sad to be traveling on saturday. Big compliments to Annie and Andy, keep it up, we will definitely be back!!! (Original) vor drei jahren hatten wir bereits das vergngen, bei annie und andy gste zu sein, damals noch im pier house b&b. es stand ausser frage, dass wir dieses jahr in ihrem neuen self-catering ein paar nchte verbringen werden. unsere erwartungen waren hoch und sind mehr als erfllt; das haus ist geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet, alles ist sehr sauber, die aussicht ist grandios, es hat gengend platz, alles ist durchdacht, praktisch und man fhlt sich gleich wie zuhause. es sind die kleinen dinge, wie der begrssungskorb mit karte und goodies, der bereits gedeckte tisch oder spl- und waschmittel, das man nicht erst besorgen muss, die den aufenthalt ausserordentlich machen. trotz schlechtem wetter geniessen wir unsere zeit hier in vollen zgen und sind bereits traurig, am samstag weiter zu reisen. grosses lob an annie und andy, macht weiter so, wir werden auf jeden fall wieder kommen!!!

The pictures and description of View @ Pier House Glencoe don't do it justice. Everything about it is a step above, from the decorating which is nice and interesting (including photos taken by Andy) but not overdone, to the furniture and bed which were very comfortable. It was exceptionally clean. I really enjoyed the wool blankets in the evening and morning. The views were gorgeous, especially the sunsets which we watched from the deck. The hosts greeted us as we drove in and were very friendly and helpful. There were books about local hikes, birds and history that were very useful and interesting. It is also very well equipped with a good refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, dinnerware and silverware and even a clothes washer. A restaurant just down the street called The Glencoe Gathering had great food and service, very friendly to everyone and was open a little later. It was a good find when everything else was either booked or closed on Sunday. We had a very hard time leaving View @ Pier House and would love to come again and stay longer.
