At first glance this quaint thatched cottage in the middle of the village appears unassuming, but once you step over the threshold you cant help but be swept into a fantastic little time capsule holding the beautiful and tragic history of generations of locals who have lived in this breathtakingly region! The guides are always so warm & welcoming, the collection is full of curiosities and historical life, and you instantly get why there is so much more to GlenCoe than just the gorgeous views. I have personally visited multiple times over the past 20 years and now professionally bring small tour groups by when we can, & recommend you do the same! (The pics dont do it justice)

Compact and well put together museum complex highlighting the history of the area clans, insights into the feud between the MacDonalds and the Campbells who were allied wit the government, the all important slate industry and other important aspects of local life. Be sure to visit all three buildings, and watch the low doorways. It wont take more than 30-40 minutes and is well worth the time.
