We had a brief stay but everything was excellent. Room was immaculately clean and very cozy. Hosts were super friendly and had some great recommendations of things to see in the area. Breakfast was great. Nice touch of a small bar of scotch whiskeys and wines you can pay cash for. Really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend to others.

I had a great stay at Beechwood Cottage. Jackie and Iain were wonderful hosts! The room was clean and comfortable. They have a selection of whisky and wine that you help yourself to based on an honour system with very fair prices. Iain was kind enough to explain the different whiskies they had as I'm not usually a whisky drinker (but when in Rome...). The breakfast was delicious and you could choose from different items such as eggs, sausage, haggis, blood pudding, etc. I think there were vegan/vegetarian options too. Jackie also helped me make a dinner reservation at one of the restaurants in the next village over (Ballachulish).

Slightly strange visit. Owners were verging on intrusive. B&B itself is modern and clean, but every movement is tracked! Can't move without on of them following you! Also, garden is full of skulls etc, Halloween but less fun, in January. We won't be back, sadly. Edit to respond to comment: on checking in, it took a full 25 minutes for us to be left in peace in our room, alone, and every time we went to the car or came downstairs for whatever reason, you were both there and we had difficulty in returning to our room without being rude and just walking away! It was claustrophobic. As I said room was lovely, I forgot to mention breakfast was nice. But yes, we certainly needed more breathing space. When we came back early on Saturday intending to go back out, we changed our mind. On coming downstairs at teatime we were questioned with "we've been expecting you, why didn't you go out, where are you going now?" We also told you we'd been several times to Glencoe, yet you insisted on telling me all walking routes and buses and what to do and what the weather was like. We had done our research and I trued several times to politely tell you that, but you continued to attempt to plan our weekend. It's half the fun in the planning, and we're responsible hill walkers, so we were fully equipped and able. We just found it too much. And if it's stopping us returning, we thought the feedback might help again. Like the welcome, being told to wait in our car for 10 mins and unusual greeting for Ian when we asked to check in and he just said "done! Now wait in your car..." it was all just bizarre. Like I say, without feedback, you don't know what goes well or not with guests.
