I stayed at The Holt when I was hiking the Great Glen Way, and its stunning location between the canal and river in Fort Augustus and on the route was perfect. My room was clean and comfortable, and Phil was welcoming with good recommendations for dinner. I went to one of the pubs handily located across the canal from The Holt. A great cooked breakfast set me up nicely for a day of hiking.
