I had an appointment for a representative from Jenkins windows today at 11 am.11 am came and went without anyone appearing, and no phonecall of explanation! This is not how a professional business should project itself.

Had new windows fitted throughout our home today and we are absolutely delighted with all aspects of the service from start to finish. This is the 3rd time Jenkins have fitted windows for us, last time 23 years ago and they didn't disappoint. The men here today installing were professional and considerate, tidying up before leaving. Highly recommended

I'm genuinely so surprised to be writing this review negatively as I feel approaching Jenkins windows would be a really positive experience from a long established and reputable business but the experience myself and my mum had was sadly not what we'd anticipated. We'd never bought double glazing, were open about our lack of knowledge and that we were on a learning curve but with such a large investment and improvement to my mum's house, she and I wanted to ensure she had the right product, supplier and fitter so we wanted to ask a few questions. We'd hoped Jenkins would reassure us and take us through the journey of getting the right products for my mum's property and explain to us what was what. Sadly this wasn't the case. We initially visited the showroom and essentially were made to feel like we'd wasted our time talking about anything until they'd seen the property. Fair enough to an extent but we were trying to find out about what was out there as we had no idea whether double glazing, triple glazing, uPVC, composite etc was the right or wrong thing. Every question seemed to be difficult and I don't know why.... Is it unreasonable when your potentially spending thousands of pounds to ask a few questions?? We eventually asked for a home visit, arranged for 10.15 which was mistakenly recorded in their diary as 12 so Alan turned up late (never a good start). The whole home visit then felt rushed by Alan, rather than spend a little time talking us through the process it was simply 'well you have to tell me what you want'. Without really much knowledge of double glazing it's difficult to know what you actually want when you don't know which options are available to you (besides a quality product that is energy efficient and withing the building regulations and fire safety). We'd had nothing from them, no brochure, and not until 5 minutes into the conversation were we offered a piece of paper with the styles and openings they offer. Overall, for us, a poor, brash (slightly rude) and rushed experience. Having never bought double glazing, we wanted someone to reassure us about what they offer, what options are available and to take us through the process. It was almost like Alan really wasn't interested in speaking with us or wanted the business. We'll take our business elsewhere.
