We were here for a funeral tea. Nice cosy place with nice decor. Staff pleasant. Food fresh and tasty. But: There was a misunderstanding over the bill by an over zealous member of staff, who embarrassed my poor mother in law after she had just attended her husbands funeral. The bill had been paid, but instead of him doing the normal thing asking staff if they had taken final payment, he shouted out who was settling the bill when my in-laws were leaving! Best practice, find out from staff if it has been paid, don't shout out to the customer in front of other customers, you could always send an invoice or call the customer if it hasn't been settled. My mother in law was so upset and rightfully angry. I understand he may have thought it hadn't been settled but it had been paid by my husband at the bar area of the main reception. Im aware some people run off without paying but this was a pre arranged booking. The Creamery had the customers details. We are still happy to return as its a nice wee place. Just don't embarrass your customers!

Fantastic food. Generous portion sizes. Very good value for money. We go regularly. Kids meals are also good value. Highly recommend
