Honestly, Canada Wood is one of my favourite places in the world and I feel lucky to have it in my back yard. I walk my dog there most days and litter pick it a couple of times per month. I have also used the cycle trails, ran around the pathways and use Cafe @ Canada Wood on a regular basis. Calendar House and Tea rooms are also well worth a visit. Easily as valuable to the community as the Helix Park. That said, I can't believe that they think it will be wise to bring parking charges in at the Green Rig car park. This will have an impact on the trade at the cafe for sure as I have seen large groups of cyclists go for refreshment after a meeting - now they'll likely park elsewhere. It'll also impact my litter picking activity as in winter I don't always want to walk up there, pick and walk back again. They say it is to help upgrade the facilities and maintain the paths, but I'm just not sure that is true. I've never seen any maintainance crew there in the 4 years that I have been using the space and the one time a tractor did come through last year, it mowed the saplings by the path down and scattered the plastic cases everywhere - it took ages to pick it up. Without the parking charges, this would be a 5 star review.

This is a favourite place of mine to walk. Well maintained paths for walkers and cyclists (with separate paths for bikes, so they dont have to dodge people like me with my dog). Lots of well designed, interesting signs giving information about trees, plants, wildlife and local history. The Canada Wood cafe, near the car park, is a great place to stop for a coffee at the end of a walk. Lots of choice on their menu. They are dog friendly, they have outside seating and a beautiful view.

A good place to walk and cycle, with excellent trails, a nice escape to the country. Well worth a visit, a really good cafe too.

Wish I could rate it a zero stars!!! Quite simply a dispicable, fraudulent, scheming bunch! Their conduct as a business is nothing short of disgraceful! Cant stress enough to stay clear of this company for any matter!
