The Tattie kirk This odd shaped building was once a church its design was to ensure that there was no place for the devil to hide in Since it has been a Church its said to also have been a potato store hence its name tattie kirk How ever foe most of its life it has been a store and workshop for the now gone J Sime and Co Ltd who were tool merchants that closed up in 2007 ...one of the last if not the last official saw doctors in Scotland...

Currently used as a beauty salon so this historic building is not really a museum to visit in the traditional sense. It has a Heritage Trail blue marker information sign outside but the current usage of the building gives an uncomfortable feeling if you're lingering to simply enjoy the look of the exterior of the site. There is an old graveyard at the rear of the building but access to this is sadly not available due to the current occupiers restricting people from having a closer look. It can be viewed by peering over a wall from a nearby overlooking street.
