This was the worst experience , my poor mothers care was shocking . We were offered this as an interim bed while she awaited one of the homes chosen by us . I went with an open mind, had it been up to a good standard, as a family we had said we would leave her where she was , however it became apparent very apparent very quickly that what was acceptable care from I might add was the deputy manager when I highlighted a concern I had with her feet as she had worn repose air boots previously for 2 years to be told a flat no need. She has since been discharged with a pressure sore. She was constantly left unkempt and dirty . When I asked about the facilities for showering the home had for people like my mother I was told they had none of the equipment needed as they hadn't experienced this before . This is alarming as the website, I told the Deputy Manager clearly states various conditions they cater for . This is not the case . Do not under any circumstances let your relatives be admitted to this establishment if they require nursing care . The only time I was in at a meal time she had cheap Cheesey Pasta , I was horrified concidering what they charge as it certainly does not reflect neither care or food received by clients .

Firstly, I was rather shocked by previous negative reviews of Wallside Grange care home, which I must disagree with. In my opinion my mum is receiving a very high standard of care. The care staff are always pleasant and helpful and really excelled in arranging a small family visit for my mums birthday In November. I am always made to feel welcome on my visits and staff are excellent at updating me on aspects of my mums care either face to face or via email. I am a former health care professional who has worked in various senior positions in the NHS with over 30 years experience and I have no reservations about recommending Wallside Grange as an excellent place to provide care for your relative

After reading a few negative reviews I feel that I would like to say these girls (and guys) are the most dedicated and caring people and deal brilliantly with the stress, challenging long hard shifts they face each day. When visiting I have witnessed the time and care these girls take with each resident making sure they have everything they need. Our mum has been there around 5 months now and despite not being at home with her family she is really happy and well looked after so give yourselves a pat on the back team Wallside there is people out here that appreciate your hard work and dedication xx

My grandfather went into this home as a permanent resident and his life ended as a humanitarian disaster. If you love you're relative, you won't give these neglectful people a single penny.
