    Despite being promised a call from the manager..:this has never happened and further proof of their lies, incompetence and false promises. It is clear they can not defend their illegal activity using customer cars as test drives for new potential clients! No wonder they dont want a face to face meeting and presented with the facts of this! Do not deal with Pentland Elgin! Rude, abusive and thoroughly unprofessional service. We bought 2 new Discoverys from this dealership and the whole service has been nothing short of thoroughly unprofessional, incompetent and seriously rude. The final straw was yesterday when the service manager screamed at the AA recovery driver calling my wife a blatent liar and refusing to take an 18 month old Discovery that had smoke coming from the bonnet and also into the cab. Even after being shown videos of the fault, there was no apology and instead the service manager refused to accept the car and said it must be driven to Edinburgh (3 hours away) with smoke filling the cab and continued that my wife was nothing but a liar and at it. Landrover assist had sent the AA recovery driver to Pentland Elgin following the car breakdown and the service manager refused to accept the car despite being purchased from Pentland! They refused to supply a courtesy car despite being directed by Landrover assist head office to provide one. My advice would be to anyone wanting a Landrover product, go to Inverness or any dealership that isnt a John Clark partnership! Landrover itself is a great product and service but Pentland Landrover is an abominable outfit right from Mike and George in the sales department who dont return calls or emails through to the service manager who is personally abusive, unhelpful and incompetent. In a seperate incident, when my Discovery was in for a fault last year, the car was allegedly fixed although faulted again soon after and had to be taken to Inverness the next time to be fixed. However, during the time it was in at Elgin and after being fixed my car was then used by staff to do jobs and as a test drive for a client!! I stand by all comments above and would welcome a sit down meeting with senior management of John Clark to provide further compelling evidence and detail. I dont expect they will relish the opportunity for this and will instead reply with a generic Thanks for your feedback.

    Bought a Range Rover Velar Feb 2020. Reported a brake vibration March 2022, was informed brake discs were heavily corroded, (16,000 miles only) enquired as to warranty cover, informed Land Rover reduced the warranty on on brake discs from 3 to 2 years. Vehicle was 1 week over the new warranty period. I wonder why they reduced the period from 3 to 2 years. (1200) January 2022 reported paint peeling from front bumper, vehicle was taken to a local paint shop and they thought it may have been resprayed, however, they believed it to be the factory lacquer coat. These two things cannot be correct. The vehicle was a Land Rover managers vehicle, I enquired as to any vehicle history of an accident, to support this assumption, I was informed there was none. Pentland Elgin refused to honour the paint warranty based on an assumption, no offer of any further invest. I requested an email confirming their conclusions. This is December and Im still waiting. (480) The final straw was a rear light cluster indicator failure, again out of warranty lights fail and its not a problem, however, when they fail due to water ingress into what is supposed to be a sealed unit, that yet another quality issue. (282). I could say I was just unlucky with this vehicle, however, when the issues are all quality related its definitely down to material spec and build quality issues. LAND ROVER ABOVE AND BEYOND..! NOT..!
