The Old Church Cottage

Had a fantastic week at The Old Church with the family. Moi has upgraded the decor beautifully since our last visits and we arrived to beautiful fresh flowers and a very generous welcome hamper which was a lovely and most welcome surprise! This is in an ideal spot for touring all the main tourist locations and there is plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 small children and was so lovely to get away and relax with the whole family there (our first holiday since lockdown). The Old Church is warm and cosy, spotless clean and has stunning views from every window and the large dining table was great for family meals and playing board games alike. Cant wait to get back!

We had an excellent stay at The Old Church. The photographs don't really do justice to the loveliness of the house. Moi has ensured that the house is a real home from home, with some lovely touches to ensure your comfort. Its in an ideal location for exploring the whole island and the mainland. We most certainly hope to be back soon and would have no hesitation is recommending The Old Church to anyone.

This place is wonderful. The house is fabulous. Spacious yet cosy. The location is wonderful and the scenery is amazing. We loved everything about it. It has a wonderful kitchen, spacious dining room and lounge. Plenty of bathrooms and places to sit. The views from the windows are like an ever changing picture. It was a privilege to stay here and we hope some day that we can return. Thanks for having us.

We had a lovely stay at the Old Church cottage. It is very tastefully decorated, and is extremely comfortable with lots of space for our group of six. The views are stunning and Moi goes the extra mile with a lovely basket of goodies. She is in touch regularly beforehand and answers questions promptly. Having been to Skye many times before I can say that this is the best cottage we have stayed in. I especially liked the photographs taken by Moi's son, a very talented photographer.

Phenomenal cottage in stunning location. We spent an amazing week in the old church cottage. We had a few questions to ask our host Moi prior to arriving. She was very prompt in replying and very happy to assist. As soon as you walk in the cottage it is so welcoming and homely. A beautiful display of local wild flowers was a lovely touch in the dining area. A beautiful new kitchen has been fitted. The Rayburn cooker was a new cooking experience. It cooks roasts, bread and pizza to perfection. You have Panasonic views of Blaven and Loch Slapin from the living room. This view is ever changing. There is a utility room with an additional Fridge and Freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage also has a very good range of echo friendly cleaning products. A welcome hamper including an array of local products, wine, homemade scones, fresh eggs and even dog biscuits for our dogs. The cottage has a fully enclosed garden which was ideal for our dogs. There is a large dining table on the decking area and we enjoyed having a few meals there in the sun. The cottage if very well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. All the decor, furniture and fittings are tastefully done helping to provide a luxury yet homely environment. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. We have just booked another trip for next year.
