EDIT in response to your reply - you are still deflecting the fact that my mother paid to cover her electric usage for the month, while she was also volunteering out of goodwill, and you have not refunded her for the near month that she had planned to stay. How misogynist of you to pull the mental health card on her. You know nothing of her medical history. This solidifies the fact you have SCAMMED an old woman and you are gaslighting by blaming apparent mental health issues. Nobody in their right mind would joke about chopping somebody's heads off. (There are witnesses to the fact that you said that). She never broke into your property at all. She walked towards your land, and she gave you notice to say she was coming. And she had contacted you multiple times beforehand to try to get her money back, hence why we took it upon ourselves to come, as a final option. Yet you still haven't refunded her - so, I will make sure this review is posted far and wide so everyone knows what a strange experience you are. (By the way, its clear that you write and reply your own reviews on your website). Steer clear. My mum has planned to stay for the month but Ludwig said he would chop my mums head off. (So she fled on the 1st ferry home). We asked for a refund but he refused to give one, and would NOT GIVE A REASON as to why he would not refund her. We later returned to try get the refund. Ludwig started filming us, even though we were not aggressive at all. Also, the lodges aren't up to a safe standard as they are unearthed.

My son and I stayed in the Foresters bothy in 2016 and the place was magical. I understand now that the owners no longer open to the public....which I can understand reading some of the comments from non sympathetic visitors to Skye....such a shame as I would have loved to revisit the place and do some seal watching.

We tried to visit Rhuba Phoil several times, for day visit to longer stays. We contacted them for availability but never received any answer, though obviously they are receiving guests. I give one star because it's a must but it's very disappointing. Understandable if they are busy but should have a system or someone to keep people updated. We'd really wanted to join the experience and help with our best knowledge and learn as much as possible from them.
