My husband and I just visited Scotland and the Isle of Skye for the first time. I cannot describe how incredibly hospitable everyone at the Duisdale House Hotel was. The two men who worked the desk made such an effort to make a genuine connection with us during our stay. We didn't have plans for dinner and decided to dine in at the hotel the first night we arrived. It was clear within one bite that we would be dining at this hotel every night. The waitstaff was so friendly and knowledgeable, and again, the hospitality blew us away. Thank you so much for such a memorable, romantic stay! I really enjoyed the large soaking tub, too. If you are even considering staying here, do it. You won't regret it! If you are traveling here from Edinburgh, it's possible to do it without renting a car (we took the train from Edinburgh to Mallaig and then caught the ferry over- which dropped us off just ten minutes down the road from this hotel... we were able to catch a public bus that stopped right in front of the hotel). However, do make sure you rent a car well in advance for sightseeing on Isle of Skye while you are there!
