Rooms: Spacious, nicely furnished rooms with comfortable beds. Downstairs bedroom with the bay window got lots of evening sun, upstairs were three bedrooms each with good views out. The largest had a PlayStation with lots of games to keep kids entertained. Nearby activities: Skye Museum of Island Life just along the road is really interesting, with crofters' cottages housing loads of exhibits and displays covering the island's history. Duntulm Castle is small but dramatically situated on the cliffs and only a short walk down the road. Quiraing is an awe-inspiring landscape with a superb 2.5 - 3 hour walk passing incredible rock formations and great coastal views. Noteworthy details: The owners left a welcome pack with essentials - tea, coffee, milk, sugar, bread, eggs, apples and even a bottle of wine! Co-op in Portree has everything else you'll need, but it's about a 40 minute drive, so stock up with everything you'll need before arriving.
