We had a week staying in Salt Winds during 2020 when lockdown restrictions were eased. The view down the Waternish Peninsula and out to the Atlantic is simply breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing here. It is an oasis of refined calm in a delightfully rugged and dramatic landscape. I would heartily recommend a stay to anyone. Special mention goes to the fact you can walk down the road to the local pub and seafood restaurant below if you would like to dine/drink out. Both are right on the waterfront at Stein and we had an excellent night down there also. Definitely a plus when staying out of the main towns on the island as you can enjoy these amenities, yet still take advantage of the seclusion and privacy of the house being on its own.
