We spent a week staying in the Tigh Dubh cottage this summer and the cottage is just perfect. Its so homely and cosy! Was the perfect place to rest after our busy days of exploring Skye. Alistair and Helen are so lovely they made us feel very welcome and were very approachable too. My daughter Hollie got her own private tour round the Croft (thanks alistair) and my dog floyd made a friend in Corrie the collie! I would highly recommend staying and we will hopefully be back again one day! Thanks again for a 5 Stay on Skye!

Merman Cottage is the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Isle of Skye where we stayed for a week and would have happily stayed for longer. After a day spent walking and exploring we would return in the evening to a peaceful, cosy space with stunning views of lochs and hills. The restoration the cottage has been undertaken with great attention to detail by Helen and Alistair so that the result fully respects the spirit of the place. It has been furnished beautifully with everything a visitor might need. Maps, books and leaflets abound in the cottage for the use of visitors. Our hosts were welcoming, very knowledgeable, and helpful when it came to suggestions about the best things to see and visit. We had a great stay and cannot wait to return.
