If I could give this review six stars I would. Vivienne & Steve were very communicative and accommodating during our stay and went out of the way to help us. Just prior to checking in our tire had a leak and they went out of their way to help us with an air compressor and even calling a local garage. Since we were without a car for the day we were recommended a walking route around Uig to see some breathtaking sights that we otherwise would never have found. The breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed a setting where we could chat with the other couple there at the time as well as the hosts. My wife and I would highly recommend anyone coming to the area stay at Abhaig.

Viv and Steve were really great hosts. We stayed in the room within their house and felt very comfortable. The space felt like our own. We were able to use the breakfast area in the evenings to watch tv and relax after a day of hiking. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The best part of our stay though was the food! Viv is an amazing chef. We ordered a picnic the night we arrived after a long drive that she prepared and left in the dining area for us. My husband had the venison charcuterie meal and I had the Moroccan Pie. Both were delicious! Then breakfast each morning was divine, dont skip! Her shakshouka was delicious. We returned one evening to find slices of cake for us that she made that day. She was so generous. Also listen to Viv when she she recommends making reservations at restaurants in advance. We booked a dinner at the Ferry Inn down the road based on her recommendation and it was delicious! Very small so they book up in advance. We hope to return to Skye to see more and would 100% stay here again.

Im waiting for my bus to leave the beautiful Isle and I just couldnt wait to leave a review. I stayed in the bothy which is like a home from home - a very luxurious version of home; where Scandinavian and Scottish style are seamlessly blended and work with the spectacular window view. All the extras (nasty-free toiletries; books and blankets) are a delight! Viv and Steve are the perfect hosts. Their love of Skye is infectious and they signposted me to all the perfect things to do. Expect a warm Scottish welcome; high-quality breakfasts; and freshly baked caked delivered to your room Words are not enough. Its a feeling. A feeling of warmth and happiness, against a blustery and beautiful Scottish backdrop.
