Edzell Post Office

I went in to post a package and the rude owner Dianne asked me what the contents were so I explained it was offshore PPE including a lifejacket. She asked if there was gas in it, I said there was and that as it was not going on a flight it should be oaky, she replied that she did not know. The goods went missing and after a long search we found that the package had been classed as dangerous goods and were sent to a holding centre in Ireland. At no time did Dianne explain this to me nor did she say what would happen to the package as she had classed them as dangerous goods without informing me of this. When my wife queried her about the missing goods she simply said she did not know anything and handed her a missing claims form. This woman is entirely incompetent and extremely unhelpful, the Post Office was awarded to her because of late opening hours, this shop is working on short hours since the start of Covid restriction and closes at 5.30 pm, which is not late opening. Now the contents of the package have been split and some of them have went missing. Thanks Dianne, neither myself nor family will be back in your shop and I would rather walk bare foot 5 miles to the next Post Office that go into your premises.

Would leave 0 stars if I could, terrible service from the owner. Rude and incompetent. No confidence in posting mail/packages from here

I always try and use this post office because I'd hate to see it go. Great little post office and convenience shop where you can buy just about anything! Great selection of postcards and local souvenirs and gifts to household items, footwear and food and loads more. If all of the other shops in Edzell disappeared you'd be ok because you would always find what you need in here!
