Definitely not anywhere near authentic vietnamese food and you didn't really get the impression there was a lot of love or pride in the food.
The Bao buns smothered in mayonnaise which was rather... weird, and each dish came with an undressed, basic side salad of leafy greens that didn't exactly scream 'eat me'. Good cocktails and the staff were friendly enough though.
Edit: So the restaurant replied saying they don't claim to be Vietnamese cuisine, perhaps they should review the text on this exact Google Business page then which says "Vietnamese street food & draft beer offered in a cool, contemporary space with a buzzy atmosphere."
No response regarding the undressed cheap salad, probably because they know there isn't much of a come back.
The mayonnaise definitely didn't taste like some sort of specially-concocted hoisin/japanese interpretation, literally just Hellmann's.
Regardless, maybe be a bit less trigger happy with it and some of the other flavours of the dish might shine through, rather than everything tasting like bland egg mayo.
