Very fast and friendly service. Extra insurance (max protection available) is about 25/day. Convenient location just right at haymarket tram/bus stop!

I used Thrifty Car Rental for a two day car hire in May 2022. The site is convenient, close to the city centre and opposite the Haymarket train and tram station. I was welcomed by Michael, who offered an upgrade at a very reasonable price, which I accepted. The car was clean and in excellent condition, comfortable and spacious. Michael was friendly and efficient when upon arrival and when dropping the car off. I would not hesitate to recommend Thrifty and Michael for the hire experience and the quality of the vehicle. A message for people leaving bad reviews after one way travel and drop off, I previously worked for this company and we were always professional, some depots are franchised and some are corporate owned,, when you return a vehicle to a separate depot after a one way hire the recieving depot can only check your vehicle in and check for damages listed by the office you hired from, it's your responsibility as the driver to go over the car at time of rental and note any damages and ensure they are Marked on your rental agreement, the recieving depot only acts on information they received from your hiring branch, if your hiring branch has not listed damages and you haven't pointed any out, then obviously you will be held liable for any found on returning to another branch, on another point regarding customer complaining lwb van used 50% more fuel than swb, nonsense, I've been in vehicle trade and a professional driver for many years, and that just doesn't happen that way
