Great museum with some excellent diaramas that heighten the true feeling of a situation and an era. Makes me realise how lucky I was to have been born in the 20th century.

A fantastic wee museum, providing a huge amount of history on Edinburgh's working class, combined with intricately crafted exhibits of everyday life in old Edinburgh. There's a surprising amount to see despite the fairly small building (which in itself carries a rich history), to the point where I wasn't able to see everything in the hour I was there. The man at reception was welcoming and the rest of the building was impeccably maintained. Overall, I can't think of a single downside to this museum - I'll certainly be returning again to fully explore the rest of it!
