As a student studying physics in the James Clerk Maxwell Building, this statue is a particularly special tribute for me. Great way to commemorate one of the greatest minds in physics.

(Translated by Google) James Clark Maxwell was born in 1831 at 14 India Street in Edinburgh and died in 1879 and was one of the greatest scientists who ever lived, he discovered the theory of electromagnetism. His home is now a museum and can be visited upon request. He is considered the father of modern physics. He also made essential contributions to mathematics, astronomy and engineering. Radio, television, radar and communications all stemmed from Maxwell's discovery. To better see his statue you have to cross the street because it is in the center, pay attention to the traffic. As you get closer you can better see his dog at his feet, the color wheel in his hands and the side panels depicting Newton's experiments with light and prisms and Einstein holding a warped model of space-time on a rubber mat .
