        We did a hidden vaults and the royal mile tour. Both were excellent. Our tour guide (Scott on both occasions) were very knowledgeable on the topics of the tour, but also other elements of the city, and where very happy to answer any questions. I would fully recommend either tours for someone visiting the city, the headset and microphone on the tour guide were really helpful to hearing everything. The royal mile gives a bit of history for the street you will undoubtedly visit. The unground vaults shows you a hidden but large aspect of Edinburgh's history which was great to be able to see My only feedback for Mercat would be that one aspect that was maybe missing from the royal mile tour was an overall story. The vaults had a nice story through to it's rediscovery, and i think this would have added to the royal mile, which was more various buildings and features and their individual history, rather than the city or royal mile as a whole. That could well be me but I love history for its stories. This would not stop me recommending it however
