NEGATIVE REVIEW: The host Marc appears to be a Jekyll & Hyde character. From his many reviews he is capable of being a good host, however if you catch him on an bad day he can be the most vile and aggressive individual a person could meet. For a balanced view, please look at previous guest reviews across all of his property listings. Note that Marc used a number of different company names including VIP apartments. On the day of check-in I messaged Marc out of courtesy and as requested 0.5hr before check-in. Marc unfortunately missed all three messages, I therefore decided to call Marc 5 mins before check-in as I knew he would need time to get to the apartment. I was not looking to access the apartment early as I was happy to wait for him. Marc immediately asked why I had arrived 5 mins before check-in and became aggressive. When I questioned Marc's inappropriate guest welcome he swore at me, and then told me to find somewhere else to stay and slammed the phone down. I rang Airbnb to report the incident however while I was on the phone Marc turned up outside to apologise. Given the aggressive welcome I had received, I could not accept the keys to the property. At this point Marc flew into another rage using profanities. He then asked me to move from outside the building which was a public right of way. When I refused he said he would forcibly throw me and my bags into the nearby road. Fortunately for me, Airbnb were on the phone throughout the whole episode and overhead most of what transpired. Airbnb gave me a full refund, had they not been privy to the abuse, I may not have been so fortunate. Note that the one star is purely for their communication, check-in and hosting not for the property

Never in my life have I experienced such an unprofessional and unpleasant host. These so called 'luxury apartments' are non existent they are basic at that. The host or agent Marc is the most volatile, manipulative and rude person I've ever had to deal with. My friend and I had travelled just under 500 miles to be greeted by him. He had no recollection of two 30 minute conversations I had with him regarding me bringing my 2 small dogs. He also charged us an extra 30 for parking that we had to give him in cash (obviously went straight into his pocket)!! Even tho we had already payed just under 700 for a 3 night stay. Then we get the very basic apartment which had zero phone reception and horrendous wifi connection which he was aware of but failed to tell us!!! The mattresses were of very low standard cardboard like almost, the cooker didnt work properly, the pans were burnt, the lift was out of use for part of the day... to top all this off he then allowed himself into the apartment with his own key while my friend was asleep without contacting either of us first, I was then out walking my dogs and had him shouting my name out down the street after me.. we both work in the public eye so you can imagine how petrifing these encounters were for both of us. This behaviour is just NOT acceptable and we will be taking matters further. As if this all isn't bad enough when we complained about it he turned very nasty and has actually tried to manipulate the whole situation by saying we owe him money... absolutely disgusting!!! We left the apartment after 1 night as we didn't feel at all safe staying there and the conditions were ridiculous. This is the worst service I've ever had to deal. I will most certainly be reporting everything that happened. This is false advertising at its finest.
