The location is great but we were a family of 5 and the apartment is definitely too small. The bathroom has limited fan so steams up and there was advice to keep the door closed as to no set off the fire alarms. The loft should not be classified as a second bedroom limited head space and stairs not great for younger ones. The kitchen was ok however just cooking toast set the fire alarm off. The main bedroom bed was tiny small double and to put two adults was difficult. Great location for couples but not families.

Spent four nights in these apartments with my family ( 4 adults and 1 child 15 years old ) from 29/12 to 02/01/2023. These lofts are situated a stones throw from the Royal Mile. Upon entry through coded security doors we were greeted by a very clean and attractive loft. Our loft was on the first floor. The lack of a lift was definitely felt while carrying our baggage upstairs. Our loft had two double beds and one pull out bed. The space inside the loft seemed quite small. It came with a kitchen equipped with a stove, fridge, dishwasher and a washing machine and tea and coffee station. The lack of a microwave was a definite deficiency. The main issue was that we were woken up every morning around 5-5:30am by the noises coming from the apartment upstairs. These lofts are definitely not soundproof. This was definitely very very disappointing. The heating was a constant problem. I did email the online reception facility who instructed me with process of setting the thermostat but by the morning they switched off turning the apartment temperature to very low levels. Also the lack of an on-site reception where you get immediate help from is a definite negative for me and I will never book another hotel without on-site reception in the future. They were however generally prompt in replying the emails I sent them. If you dont have a local mobile email is the only way to reach them. It would have been a bonus if they hat a dedicated WhatsApp number and in this day and age the lack of one is pretty inexcusable and to me is indication that they are interested only in catering to local guests. Understanding that hotels are expensive during this time of the year I feel we could have found a much better place for the significant amount of money we spent to stay here. The only positives of our stay was proximity and cleanliness. Will not be staying here if I ever come back to Edinburgh.
