I lived in one of the properties Nicola managed for three years. In the first week it was broken into, there was a a smashed window, belongings stolen and a knife left on my bedroom floor. That night we couldnt get in touch with Nicola to arrange for someone to replace the window and secure the property and therefore had to stay in a hotel. Not being able to get in touch with Nicola was a constant theme. When there was a leak over Christmas in the bathroom which destroyed the downstairs flat, when the boiler failed, when changing over tenancies...nothing. When repairs were done they were so by pals and relatives who Although lovely were unreliable. The flat had three rooms which always had three non related tenements in which Nicola was aware of. There was no HMO and the safety features required for this. The rent was cheap so as tenets we werent difficult and only tried to get in touch with her when something was really wrong. When ending my tendency again I couldnt get in touch with her for a reference and then for my deposit. In the end I had to start proceedings through the Safe Deposit Scheme. In short I wouldnt rent a property with Nicola again especially the one I did on Ratcliffe Terrace.

The experience i have had with this letting agent was awful, never heard back. Extreme lack of communication, and then when i finally did get a response they were rude and said they 'had emailed me' which i can assure you they had not. They had my number so there were no excuses. MASSIVE WASTE OF TIME....4 weeks later. JOKE

I was a tenant of a property run by Ambience Properties and it was not a good experience. They were really difficult to get in touch with and when we managed to, they would promise issues would be sorted within a timeline, which would then be completely ignored. It was always up to us to chase them up for basic things they were responsible for. We heard every excuse under the sun! It's not just that they were slow, but their attitude was horrendous. The contractors supplied were mostly unreliable as well and didn't always do a thorough job, meaning we then had to keep contacting them to get things sorted. They would also turn up at the flat for non-emergencies with no warning, which I believe we should have been given a minimum of 24 hours notice. I would never rent a property through this agency again and I would strongly advise against anyone else doing so.
