We had no issues with the initial letting process. Although we found the frequent inspections somewhat intrusive, any issues were resolved reasonably promptly. However we have been extremely disappointed with the process of terminating the tenancy and recovering our deposit. The communication from the agent has been very slow, from submitting our termination notice, to agreeing an inspection date. The property was professionally cleaned prior to leaving it so there should have been no issues with the final inspection. It has now been over 30 days since we left the property and we have had to prompt the agent several times for any communication on the return of our deposit. We have subsequently had to raise a request with Safe Deposits Scotland for the return of our deposit and issue an ultimatum to the agent regarding further proceedings and are now awaiting their response. I would not recommend this agent based on our end of tenancy experiences which have been extremely unprofessional.

We were very happy with our tenancy with extra mile. While I was viewing the flat, I pointed out a couple of things that could do with improving and they were fixed by the time we moved in two weeks later. Any issues we had were quickly resolved - they have an online form to fill in, which I think is a really great idea. They were always very responsive and helpful - head and shoulders above other companies I have rented from in the past. I would definitely recommend them as a letting agent.
