Haggart Plumbers

Expensive and overestimated time to a job. They include travel time and round up to the nearest hour (eg spent 30 mins at the property and charged for 2 hrs). This was an emergency call out so was grateful the problem was fixed, however was shocked at the final invoice value.

I called Haggart Plumbers due to a big leak from our tenement bathroom flat into downstairs neighbours flat. I had previously been calling and messaging other places who either didnt respond, were giving ridiculous rates or couldnt give me any availability. Haggart Plumbers answered the phone straight away and managed to give me same day availability. Plumbers came and checked everything out and determined reason for the leak efficiently and sorted it out there and then. Would highly recommend putting your trust in this company - I was away from Edinburgh at the time of the problem and they helped out in a stressful situation. Will be coming back if I need anything plumbing related in the future.

Very poor communication regarding their costs. No call out rates on website. No call out rates detailed via email when I enquired about them coming to quote for a job. Decided to go with a different company and received an 84.00 invoice from Haggart. They need to be more upfront about costs in future. I also found the tone of the emails from boss Jon upsetting.
