I love Reform! Ive tried many different studios and visited various classes in Edinburgh and Reform is probably the best studio for Pilates. Its a bit pricey but its worth every penny. The classes are small and the instructors are professional, paying personal attention to everyone in the group and correcting if necessary which is very important to avoid potential injuries and to work on your body effectively. Only after a couple of weeks of exercising there I could already feel the difference!

My sister and I booked a trial package of 2 initial classes. We thoroughly enjoyed class 1, the instructor was very professional and explained clearly. Class 2 I done a 25 mile trip, was stuck in traffic due to bad weather. We arrived 2 minutes late at 18:32 I was on the door step. There was no answer at the buzzer- reform are aware that the buzzer is not working- and they did not answer their phone. We waited around for 15 minutes, trying to get the attention of the instructor from outside and calling, in the hope someone would come to double check we had arrived as we were booked in. Unfortunately we had to give up eventually, much to our disappointment. I emailed to follow up in the hope Reform would kindly allow us to trial another class due to the circumstances. 72 hours later I had not received a response and had to chase my email. Other fitness organisations normally give a buffer period, especially when their entry system is broken, to ensure the people on the attendance list have time to attend. Unfortunately this local business in the fitness industry dont pride themselves on their customer satisfaction in the words of their operations manager as the buzzer does not operate, we have to check for attendees at the start time and begin the class. Makes sense if you have everyone on your list in attendance with an operational buzzer. Following the last 18 months its frustrating to see local business, especially in the fitness industry where mental well-being should be of high importance, not go that little extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. We were hoping to book a block of 5 at 80 however, priced at 16 a class with added stress around ever being 120 seconds late and losing out on funds/class we will unfortunately have to look at other more considerate businesses in Edinburgh.

This is a proper Pilates studio with guided classes on Reformer equipment. This is not mat Pilates. The prices are a bit dear, even with a slightly discounted package (I book on the MindBody app), but in my opinion it's worth it if you can afford it. Classes are on the smaller side (I think no more than 10 iirc) and the instructors are all well trained and happy to come around with modifications or adjustments, give clear instructions and demonstrate as needed. Instructors are very good at making adjustments if you're recovering from an injury (make sure your doctor clears you!) or have medical issues to contend with. The workout is fairly intense (even the Apprentice classes) and often uses multiple muscle groups at once. It's excellent for developing core strength especially and balance. I've been practising yoga several times a week for years now and still find Reform classes challenging. You'll likely be quite sore the next day, but after a couple of weeks the benefits begin to show and be felt. I like that even if you take several of the same type of class in the same month or even week, it's never really the same class twice. You'll rotate between different types of exercises and movements, with varying intensity, making sure that different muscles are worked out. Beautiful, light-filled and airy clean space with high quality and well maintained equipment. My only gripe is I wish they had proper showers, none are available and the toilet is in the hallway and shared with the other businesses in the building. So not the best place to work out if you need to rush off somewhere after and need to be clean. Apart from that, love it!

Highly, highly recommend Reform. I was only visiting Edinburgh but squeezed in two Reform classes. The class space was beautiful and perfectly clean, the instructors were clearly very experienced and friendly not to mention I got a great workout.

Excellent studio. Teachers are attentive and the classes are challenging, with variations offered depending on your strength. Classes are done to music and the 55 minutes fly by.
