    I have been training with Mike since February now and it has been by far the best investment in my own health and fitness that I have ever made. I haven't ever met anyone like Mike, his energy, enthusiasm and optimism is incredible. He is more than just a trainer and works to get the best from his clients. I was not only guided to gain physical strength but mental strength and well-being too. As soon as you arrive- you're welcomed and it's not long before you're empowered to train hard. With Mike's P.T sessions, I haven't once hesitated on showing up and probably to his surprise never checked the clock during each session Before I started, I was kidding myself thinking I could never afford a personal trainer while at the same time I would happily spend most of my money on takeaways and junk food etc. It was a harsh reality to face the facts of my declining health and poor eating habits but you cannot dream yourself into shape, you have to hammer and forge yourself into one. I'm so glad I turned to Mike for his help. Within the first month, there were visible results prompting encouraging compliments from my nearest and dearest and even Mike too. Four months in now and I'm three stone lighter, more energetic, focused but most importantly in a better place mentally. It's difficult to articulate how grateful I am to Mike but I'm hoping someone else reading this who is wishing and dreaming of a better self, will do themselves a favour by signing up with Mike. You won't regret it. Just do it

    Edinburgh's drinking and fried food culture took a toll on my health last year. I was unhealthy, lacked stamina and could not be bothered to go to the gym or join those group classes that lacked any personal attention. So, I searched for a personal training institute to help bring an overall lifestyle change. I wasn't looking to achieve short term goals, but I wanted a permanent long term solution to my overweight problem. Mike Heatlies institute was the most promising among all my searches. Mike understood my situation and gave me appropriate advice on healthy eating; meal planning and balanced diet. I started training with Perisa Aitken-Edwards. Her workout sessions inspired me to quit smoking for life time. I started losing weight and increasing my stamina. She made me do a variety of circuits, cardio exercises, weights etc. We concentrated on building my overall body strength. The weight loss followed automatically as I listened to her speak about mind, health and beauty. She became my guide and my friend. She pushed me to do more with myself. That is what I liked the most about her. She taught me to carry on and have faith in my body. She was supportive and always asked my opinion on the training sessions we had. So I felt like I was equally involved in shaping up my body with her expertise. We started seeing tremendous results in just few classes. I lost more than 8 KGs (1 stone, 4.8 pounds) while training with Perisa Aitken. My waist, hips and chest numbers were dropping drastically. Moreover, by constantly attending Mike Heatlie's training, I was able to bring an overall life style change. I lost a dress size, I started looking gorgeous in tight outfits and I was able to successfully achieve my goals thanks to Persias training and Mike's support. I still continue to go for training there. And I love it even more. I have muscles now and I can see my waist lines get sharper. My personal experience, I strongly recommend Mike Heatlie Personal Training to all those looking to remain healthy and gorgeous for a longer term.

    I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and by working with Mike had it down to normal within the first month of training with him. I have also lost a stone and am continuing to become fitter and healthier watching my diet and training. I've joined gyms in the past and have ended up using their swimming pool but feeling a bit self conscious using their gym. Mike has been cheerful, positive and encouraging since the first time I met him and has changed my attitude to working out in a gym! A big thanks Mike
