        I have used Black & Lizars at Davidson's Mains for over a decade and have always found them helpful and knowledgeable. Four years ago they diagnosed a serious issue on routine eye test which they referred for prompt action and which probably saved the sight in one eye. They are an upmarket optician with top range glasses and sunglasses.

        Despite the difficulties caused by Covid-19, I was totally satisfied by my latest examination by Eilidh Thomson, working at the Davidson's Mains branch. A capable, friendly and enthusiastic professional, Eilidh worked through the various tests including the Optomap and OCT scan, which I have each time so that I have a library of images over time and to check that the individual peculiarities of my eyes are unchanged. She and her service is thoroughly recommended.
