Mum has been in Cramond a few times for respite after hospital ops and received exceptional care and nutrition as well as physiotherapy . She is now a full time resident and its very reassuring knowing she is getting the best nursing care to meet her needs now . TLC in abundance from wonderful staff at tender loving Cramond !

The staff facilities at the Cramond Residence are wonderful. During a year when family visits were restricted due to Covid, the staff at Cramond became a second family for my father.

It was my service user and friend's 83rd Birthday and a visit to her twin sibling who is a Cramond Resident was organised a while ago. On our arrival I was very saddened that there nothing prepared. Both of them have advanced dementia. I was surprised that the twin residing at Cramond was not dressed for the occasion, also during our 1 hour visit nothing was offered to them on their special day. To be honest I am disappointed and upset

Definitely not for disabled people or wheelchair users. The thresholds of the outside doorways are not flat. A wheelchair user would need a hand getting in or out the building. In the bathroom the sink is too high and its too big to get close So cleaning your teeth and Washing face is impossible. The toilet roll holder is difficult to operate even able bodied staff have difficulty getting tissues out. The toilet is not a disabled toilet. the hard plastic seat is sore and uncomfortable to sit on. The shower chair does not fit in the shower as result I have to lean my head back as far as I can which hurts. The food here is not good. On a lighter note the staff here are amazing. Really nice and helpful. The exception is the manager Christian what he promised me at home was not delivered.. i asked to see him. It took three days to see him and that was a waste of time. I had four issues to speak to him about. I only got to three issues and he had to go and never came back. I later bumped into him in reception and said that I wanted to speak to him and by the time it took me to turn my wheelchair around to face him he was gone. My issues remain unsolved and that was three days ago Maybe its because I have an untrustworthy social worker from Westerhailes who always bad mouths me and she doesnt know me. She is protecting some of her colleagues who are not truthful and I have lots of proof that shows this. Christian is the only person in here that she has spoke too and the only person in here that I have a problem with. This place is very nice and unless you are in a wheelchair, or young you will love it here Its perfect for the elderly.. I should be somewhere where its wheelchair friendly. Like Leonard Cheshire which is around the corner from my house. Before social workers admit a client, please check out that its suitable for their needs.
