Our son loves it there, the staff are really friendly and attentive. He's learning so much every week and really enjoys the daily expeditions to the variety of local parks and the nursery's outdoor playspace.

We have been going to Broughton for 5 years now. Only reason we are leaving is due to moving or else would stay here til youngest goes to school! They have done some Major improvements over the past year to make the nursery much more interactive for the kids and have consistency with the staff. The teachers are wonderful and I am so grateful for them! I can tell they love our kids and really care. They have their own chef on site who makes wonderful and nutritious homemade meals (which they ask our feedback on the menu). The kids go out for walks/park or are outside everyday which was always important to me! Highly recommend.

My daughter attended from age 2-5. She was previously at Newhaven Busy Bees which was absolutely fantastic but we moved house so I had to move her. Unfortunately my experience with the Edinburgh Nursery Busy Bees has not been the same. Various issues like, being put down for naps despite me repeateldy asking that she does not nap in the day. Online journals not being updated, or being sloppy (noting that she had a meat lunch when she is vegetarian) and not inculuding any detail (or only very basic/general detail) of her daily activities. Pick up feedback was little to none as we were always told it was in the online journal. There is very little imagination from staff with regards to craft/learning/development. My daughter didn't seem to learn anything at this nursery and she never came home with any crafts she had made. She only came back with hundreds of pieces of scrappy paper with some colouring on. At the Newhaven nursery she would regularly come home and surprise me with what she had learnt that day. Also, when she left Newhaven I was given a folder filled with all of her achievements/milestones/keyworker notes/crafts and photographs from the 2 years she was there. From Broughton I had to ask if there was anything and was just told it was 'just the online journal' . I paid a 100 refundable deposit. She has now been out of the nursery for a month, I have emailed twice to chase the refund and had no reply. I called them today and they claimed to be chasing it with accounts....... Please send your child to an alternative like Bright Horizons, I didn't originally chose there as I was put off by the non refundable deposit and had already had a good experience with Busy Bees at Newhaven.
