Scottish Bagpipers

For our 10th anniversary we asked Glyn to do a ceremony at St. Antonys chapel ruins on Arthurs seat. It started with him playing the bagpipes as we climbed up to the chapel. Then he remembered us with a short summary how we met and married 10 years ago. His words were so well used as we were friends for years. Afterwards he let us repeat our initial vows of 2013. This made us feel butterflies again. Then he switched to some old Scottish words by Albert Camus that we also had to repeat. This was very heartwarming. To renew our vows we also wanted a celtic handfasting and the sharing of the quaiche. Both he did with great passion and skillfullness. Glyn even remembered that we had been on Arran before and brought an Arran malt whisky for the ritual. At the end, in brightest sunshine he played another couple of songs for us before we all walked down the hill together. It couldnt have been better. The perfect day, the perfect man for the job. As well as a bagpiper and as a registrar.

Finally getting round to leaving this five-star review for Glyn, who piped for us on our wedding day in early December. I cannot recommend Glyn highly enough. He was a complete professional, answering any and all questions we had in advance of the big day, and was very happy to accommodate our requests (including piping whilst leading the procession of guests from the church at the top of the Royal Mile, down Johnstone Terrace to our reception venue... one of the standout moments of the day)! Glyn was immaculately presented in full piper's garb, and played beautifully. He really contributed to how special our day was. Thank you so much Glyn!

Reached out to Glyn as a piper for our last minute, secret wedding elopement. Not only is Glyn the kindest and friendliest soul but his amazing piping talent had me an emotional wreck whilst watching him walk in front of our wedding car and pipe us beautifully into the chapel. Glyn was immaculately turned out. If you are considering a piper and you seek class and quality then Glyn is your man. Glyn, you made our day.

Glyn is a fantastic piper! We had a lot of delays due to CoVID and he was very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed his playing and it really made our wedding day to have such a fantastic piper. Thank you so much Glyn! Highly recommended!

Glyn was AMAZING!! We absolutely loved having him play at our elopement. Not having any family or friends at our elopement, Glyn took the time to give me a little gift that I will treasure forever. A six pence for my left shoe!! When I tell everyone the story of our wedding day, I cry almost every time I share that moment. I think its also wonderful because thats the real heart of the Scottish people and it makes me so happy to have had the privilege of a wedding in your country and especially to have Glyn as our piper. With everything going on in the world today, its heartwarming to know there are still genuinely good people on this earth. So thank you!!!
