My fianc tried to add me to his account multiple times without success. TSB kept telling us they needed certain requisites for my proof of address, then we'd show up with what they asked for and it was never good enough. They did this to us over and over for weeks while failing to come across as apolgetic or reassuring. The final straw was rejecting a letter of recommendation because my middle name wasn't included--they claimed everyone in the UK knows 'full name' means first, middle, and last, though the person who wrote the letter clearly didn't know that and neither did my fianc. The last woman who turned us down seemed displeased to see us again, and I could tell things weren't going well before she even took a look at the proof of address documents, as she had a cold and unfriendly demeanor from the get-go. I got into it a bit with her when she turned us down again and asked if she was anti-foreigner or anti-American, at which point we were told my fianc's account would be closed and were asked to leave.
