I contacted Citidogs to enquire about starting my puppy with them. If I could rate them zero stars I would. I literally received an answer to my online form saying that they dont cover my area for collection, fair enough, Id drop him off and collect him, but THEN they told me this: We are unable to offer appointments for viewings at this time but if youd like to enrol and have your dog start without one then please complete and return the form below along with a copy of their vaccination card and then just let us know which day(s) youd like to book and whether its for a Puppy Party, half or full day! Something is clearly not adding up here that this company would think that you would drop off your precious puppy having never seen where he would be looked after nor met any staff members or have any idea what he was going to be up to. Highly unimpressed!

Citidogs has been consistently incredible! We have our dog there three times a week. He loves it! He gets sooo excited every time we drop him off - he can barely wait! At first his paws were getting quite raw from running around lots. I notified Citidogs and they now have taken special procautions (giving him loads of extra rests) and his paws are absolutely fine. Their service is personal and amazing. I can't recommend them enough!

We tried Citidogs when first moving to Edinburgh and I can't say I'd recommend. Initial communication is really good and the service is convenient, but I'm not happy with the quality of care. When picked up by the bus service, it was just a white van with crates stacked in the back, which wasn't really what I'd expected. My dog was obviously anxious to be bundled in with all the other loudly barking dogs, but he was shoved in a crate and driven off. When dropped off again, there was no attempt to put him on a leash, he was just let straight out of the van, so he ran off down the street. Thankfully he's been trained not to go into the road, so he was easy to get back but I was shocked by the blas attitude. I've volunteered as a foster carer with Dogs Trust for seven years before getting my dog, so I've worked hard at socialising him well with positive experiences, but after his walk with Citidogs, he's started snapping at other dogs if he feels too penned-in on tight streets, something he's never done before. I suspect he's been traumatised by his experiences in their care. We haven't used Citidogs since.
