Anna was extremely helpful in organising dates where donations could be picked up. Jerry the van driver went out of his to help. Both of them made this donation really easy to do and I could not ask more of them. Very easy recommendation.

A nicely laid out shop which can get busy at times. Stock changes quickly so be sure to pop in regularly to bag a bargain.

One of my favorite charity shops in Edinburgh. Anna, the manager, is such a nice woman who goes out of her way to be helpful and friendly with a cheery word for every customer. On my visit yesterday, I was trying to decide which backpack to choose for an upcoming trip when an extremely rude man snatched one of the bags from me and said I'd had long enough to decide and he was going to buy it. I tried to reason with him but he was having none of it. I called out to Anna for help and she handled the situation admirably with tact and diplomacy. In the end, the man threw the bag back at me and stomped out. All in all, an extremely well-managed store busting at the seams with great quality, reasonably priced stuff. I'd highly recommend a visit!

I have been trying to make a simple purchase at the shop but I was being cut out from any queue everytime when I tried queing. I first started queuing after a lady, but three ladies came on the other side (since there's three of them) and they are not aware of them skipping the queuing, I have to wait for them, and stood behind them. After a while,,another lady, who has been returning stuff and has been taking quite some time, she also skipped the queue and handed in her stuff to be purchased when I was right at the counter, and the staff ignored the fact that she skipped the queue and went for the cashier. I noticed there's security cameras at the shop so feel free go verify my statement with the footage. So I waited at the same spot, this time, still hoping that the staff noticed I was being cut off from my queue the second time. But no, instead of that, they allowed other people to keep skipping it, and when the second lady finished purchasing her stuff, two staff looked at me as if I have skipped the queue, because there's another queue being made near the fitting area now. And I still remembered, after making my payment for a blue dress, and being very polite and told the staff that I have been finding it difficult to make my purchase on the queue, they ignored what I said, and proceeded with the payment. What is even more shocking, is they apologized to those who make a separate queue next to me, and the staffs looked at me and their face was telling me, "you are the one who is cutting the queue". They did not apologize to me, but rather they apologize to others who skipped the queue. I am also under the impression that Asians are constantly facing discrimination such as that. Even when we are trained locally and respect the rules (and follow them), white people always tend to get a go-free pass for most things they do. It was a pretty bad experience at the shop, and hopefully the staff will be more aware of their discriminative actions. The staff need serious training on queuing instruction and some reflection on their white-favoring acts.
