Getting my Mother to accept carers was difficult but Debbie from QCSC was excellent at calming her and talking her round to giving it a try. Now six months later, my Mum wouldnt be without her carers. Her allocated carers have both been fantastic with a woman prone to being awkward and difficult on occasions. They are warm and reassuring and make her feel special. On the rare occasions that an alternative carer had to stand in, they too have been lovely. They make my life as her son, so much easier. Knowing that shes safe and cared for and takes her medication at the correct time and is assisted in her everyday life, relieves me of a significant degree of stress. I am never made anything other than welcomed when phoning the office, with any questions I need taking care of.
