nothing but amazing things to say about thistle decorators, iv used them on many many occasions and always receive a 5 star service, fantastic communication and the highest quality of work. having had my salon painted now numerous times by thistle decorators i cannot fault there work. always clean, tidy and polite. highly highly recommend.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - WORK OK (AFTER SEVERAL TRIES, COMMUNICATION RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE) The whole process has been very trying, time consuming and frustrating. A lot of emphasis on "this is how we've done it for 30 years" which is quite irrelevant to my questions. I was away when works took place (gave them time to do it well and check). Some completed and satisfactory tasks, some incomplete, some not started and some done very badly. And it was dirty! I had just cleaned the flat and now needed to clean paint off the sink and floors and the toilet was disgusting! Owner returned and he could see the errors and brought a guy along to fix it. This guy (despite a thorough run through with the owner) hadn't understood what was wrong and proceeded to re-do the erroneous task, when I stopped him. Then he spent the next 20 minutes complaining that he had to fix his colleagues' bad work. I returned after work to see still unfinished tasks and an invoice. So they wanted me to pay what was not done yet. I asked them to return yet again and the owner arrived and went through the final things, it was finally done. He had at this process ignored my request for an itimised invoice 3 times (because that is not how they do things) and my request for a discount as well. I felt this was in its place considering the complete faff this had all been. He then proceeded to yell at me that he would not consider this because his staff are flawless and work for xyz and they have worked there x years. I pointed out, calmly, that this was not useful for me, seeing as they did not do a good job for me. And he complained he had done extra tasks (one he was asked to do originally so part of the work, and one he chose to do, I never asked him to). kept yelling at me and walked out. Really is unable to have a conversation, just talks over you.
