A great place to stay. Cozy, warm, clean, newly refurbished. The staff has been friendly and helpful, providing an amazing service whenever needed. The building is located in a good area with excellent public transport connections to the city center. I have nothing to complain about in the 14 months of my tenancy. Cheers!

Had a great stay here and the flat we stayed in was very comfortable and cosy. Whenever we needed maintenance or had any questions they helped us straight away :)

I stayed at ELS House for 6 months in a Gold Plus apartment and enjoyed my stay there overall. Positives: - My contact person was Benedetta, who was very warm and always helped me with all my concerns professionally and quickly. From the beginning she guided me very well through the process and explained everything to me. She takes great care of all the tenants! - the flats look like the pictures and are overall nice and functional. They were clean and there is almost everything you need. - the hallway was vacuumed at least 2 times a week. - The bus connection to the city is very good. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Princess Street and there is a bus every few minutes at the two nearby stops Stenhouse Milane / St Aidans Church. - I studied at Napier University and ELS House is between the city centre and the university. I used to walk to the university and it took me 20 minutes. But most people took the bus. You have to take 2 different buses though (35 and 4). - Two gyms are about a 2-minute walk away. - right next to the house is a good, green jogging track right by the river, which leads into a park (Saughton Park), which is very nice and well maintained. There is also a nice caf there. - supermarkets (Aldi, M&S, Asda) are about 10 minutes walk away. - almost only students live in the house, who are all very nice. Negatives: - The dryers (2) don't get the washing dry. You have to turn them on at least 2 times, but even then you still have to hang the clothes indoors. As no clothes racks are allowed, this is inconvenient and too expensive for the service. - You have to pay for the washing machine and dryer with 1 pound coins. You can exchange money at the ELS office, but you always need cash. In similar institutions where fellow students of mine lived, it's cheaper and you can pay with apps. Overall, however, I felt very welcome and was very well looked after.
