I have consistently used this butchers for over 45years. Always enjoyed excellent service, banter and produce, however, having just sampled one of their individual steak pies, which were always delicious, this one wasnt. Far, far too much dry pastry and very little actual meat. A couple of pieces and quite a lot of mush. Tremendously disappointed.

We went and got a bit of brisket to smoke. The butchers prepared a big piece with fat on. It's the best brisket my husband's ever made - we'll be back!

Great range . Sausages to Venison steaks to Rabbit to black pudding.. Haggis.. etc. Always top stuff. Be ready to buy a lot... Superb. .. and the staff are fine too!

Changed since new ownership. Its always been a bit more expensive but now the prices have just got silly (it's no wonder the owner took down the boards displaying them). 29.09/kg for a spare rib roast, this time last year it was almost 6/kg cheaper, you can see the old prices on their Facebook page. Similar crazy price hikes on lamb as well. Real shame.
