Alchemia is a little gem of a place, and I'm so glad I found it while staying in Edinburgh! The manager, Molly, was so friendly, helpful knowledgable; they really took the time to help me pick some unique pieces for my Mum's 60th. I ended up choosing a hand-painted enamel necklace and matching pair of earrings by independent Scottish jewellery designer Pat Cheney. It was an absolute pleasure speak to someone with such a passion for their craft, and I learnt so much about the history of Scottish design. Thanks so much for your help, and for brightening my day!

Great selection of local artisanal jewelry! The shopkeeper was a pleasure to talk to and very helpful. We didn't end up purchasing anything but it was hard not to!

I had my wedding rings made here two years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. The help and advice was fantastic and there was never any push to go over our budget. Now I have totally individual, beautiful rings that I love thanks to Alchemia. They also designed a pendent based on the wedding ring design for my first wedding anniversary at my husband's request. I would definitely recommend visiting this jeweler for something special.
