Carpet Rite Edinburgh Ltd

I wanted to support a local business and have the reassurance of an actual shop with people I could actually speak to. The folk in the shop a friendly and helpful but are never the person I need to speak to now there is a problem. The vinyl flooring was fitted in under 35 minutes and boy did it show! I phoned the shop, hopping mad and they did send a senior fitter out that day. However he said it could take hours to lay properly so he made good some of the more dreadful mess and left. Ive been emailing and phoning since to get the rest put right, but no one showed up on the appointed day nor is anyone answering emails or getting back to me after I phone. They havent billed me either so maybe theyre ashamed too. Really disappointed.

Bought my carpet from here 3 years ago, but never left a review. Really friendly service from the guy in the shop and quick installation from them as well. Carpet is still in great condition.

We came here because we want to support a local business. Over the course of 3 months we were promised 3 times that a laminate fitter is 'coming'. We were told to move our furniture to the other rooms in preparation, and they never turned up for all 3 times. This all happened with very poor communication. My partner and I work in the healthcare service and we spend our very limited time off trying to reach CarpetRite but they have ignored our phone calls and messages. We actually had to physically go down to their store twice to ask for a refund. This has cost us months of wasted time and it is very frustrating. We would have been happy to wait a little longer and support a local business if they actually communicated with us, not just leave us hanging for 3 months. This is a very unkind thing to do.
