        As a fan of the 1981 film Excalibur I wanted a replica of the film sword and couldn't find any suitable products on the market. So my only option was to have one commissioned so I found The Knights Vault online and they introduced me to Greg Marr at Glittering Edge. Initially emailing the shop and then later on Greg himself communicating was a pleasure and I was kept updated with regular progress reports and Instagram posts. Even when delays were inevitable with a global pandemic shutting businesses down for months. The finished sword is a masterpiece and all I could have wished for. From the brass guard and pommel to the twisted wire grip and nickel plated ferrules this sword crafted by Greg is exquisite. The tapered blade shape even matches the film sword, many other replicas had a straight blade. The personalised note was a nice touch which I laminated and put in my display with the gift of a tub of maintenance wax. I would like to thank The Knights Vault in Edinburgh and Greg Marr at Glittering Edge for a pleasurable experience purchasing my first commissioned sword. They have my wholehearted recommendation.
