Great service, professional, no pressure and relaxed. Made dealing with complex matters easy to discuss/understand. Having a financial services background I know the value of these qualities. Can't recommend William Hunter & Darren Hunter enough. Thanks again for your time.

Was put in touch with a Darren hunter by an estate agent at purple bricks for mortgage advice, I had provided all my information and have now been waiting 2 weeks for a response despite multiple emails and phone calls, complete waste of time

Horrendous experience with a horrible man. Multiple issues with Hunter Wealth Management, Mr Hunter in particular. Very unsavoury once he had the commission on our policies. After finding one of the covers did not suit our needs properly, I wanted to switch one policy, or look for some additional cover to run alongside to provide health cover for my child. He wasn't interested. Later turned out one policy wasn't even set up correctly in terms of Trust, and he not only took no responsibility but never returned calls. Visited his premises twice more to aim to resolve - the first he made me stand in his waiting area and discuss personal matters in front of another client, the second time he wouldn't even let me in the building and again made me discuss personal matters on the doorstep on a busy street. Highly unprofessional. We made a final appointment to try and resolve, but at 5pm the night before, he cried off citing a system problem and that he would then be off for 4 weeks. I raised a complaint to their parent company, which was upheld. I since had another adviser review my policies and found that of the 5 I took out with Mr Hunter, 2 of them there was cheaper cover, with more expansive cover, available from other insurers which he did not use. He pedalled what he preferred. I could not say why, perhaps based on commission level? As part of the complaint that was upheld, I was allowed to leave these policies without commission clawback penalties, but I still lost hundreds of pounds over the term I'd had the policies, and for lesser cover. Adviser keeps claiming their business are fee-only, perhaps they are now but my policies have pages that specify the commissions paid, and had penalties in place if I tried to move them within 15 years. As my complaint was valid and upheld, I thankfully had these waived - but you may not be so lucky. Do NOT use this company, they just flog you anything then disappear.
