Hound Around is an excellent dog daycare facility! The staff are all extremely caring and cautious with the dogs that go through their doors and treat them as their own! The space really gives the dogs a chance to run around and have an enjoyable experience every day! Highly recommend if you are looking for a safe space for your furry little friend

Dakota absolutely loves Hound Around Day Care. She runs in without a backward glance at me! She was only four months when I first took her for her introduction and was a bit nervous being a puppy with new surroundings and dogs, so we just tried with two hours to start with then four hours and now she goes the whole day once or twice a week. She is an Alaskan malamute so a big puppy but with the nicest temperament and just loves to play. Everyone is so lovely and caring towards her and this is obvious with how immensely happy she is going in and her interaction with Danielle and everyone there. Thank you so much for looking after her so well

Update to my review : some of the comments in the response below are actually not true at all, at the initial visit I was not allowed to watch from the window, despite asking if I could, and I was never insistent about her going into the field. I allowed the staff to handle this in the way they suggested and now I just feel it was not handled well. I witnessed a staff member grab her by the collar and pull her into the area before the door. This kind of approach can stress out anxious dogs. Original review: I tried to take my dog here after hearing some good reviews but was disappointed. They didn't introduce my dog to the existing dogs in a controlled manner, or slowly, they just put her in a field with a large number of dogs (up to 40 they said) that obviously she didn't know. If I were put into a group with 40 strangers I would be nervous too, and in my opinion this is not a smart approach. They were unwilling to work with her anxiety, told me she was mouthy with dogs, (which she does when she is exerting boundaries with puppies/badly behaved dogs), and they also said she was snapping at people, which in my 9 years of having her I have never seen her do except once when she was handled very aggressively by a vet. I was not allowed to watch or go out with her but what I did observe was someone aggressively pulling her by the collar. They just didn't seem to have an approach that embraces dog handling expertise. My dog went to a smaller daycare for years and has been hiking with doggy groups for a long time and never once had an issue. I agree that she does have some anxiety on initial meetings, but my expectation of a daycare that handles up to 80 dogs per day is that they should be able to demonstrate significant knowledge and expertise in handling and caring for dogs. And given that they were not willing to take her on as a client I did not expect to be charged for the 2 hour session, but they insisted.
