Race Fitness/Kieron Ross has been inspirational and continues to push me to my limit on every session. The variety of events is amazing and nothing better than outdoor exercise with like minded people. Can't recommend it highly enough. If you do one think this year - get onboard.

Amazing fitness experience, never been so fit in my life and have made great friends doing so. Will never train in a gym again when you can enjoy exercise so much more outdoors. Kieron is so nice too, he really encourages you to perform to your best!!

When I joined Race Fitness in June 2017, my undefined goal was to generally get fitter and perhaps try my hand at a few races. The variety of classes always keeps training interesting as you never know what's coming next. Our coach Kieron does not do a one-size fits all approach to his classes, rather he somehow manages to adapt workouts to suits everyone's current abilities whilst ensuring we all pushed beyond our comfort levels. How he does it I do not know. What I do know however is that I have achieved a level of fitness I never thought possible and I've even achieved some great results in races, all thanks to Kieron and Race Fitness. Best of all I have a great bunch of friends who encourage each other during classes and regularly socialise together. I could go on and on but joining Race Fitness is one of the best decisions I've ever made and I have never looked back.

If you want to exercise outdoors in the Edinburgh area and improve your overall fitness, then join Race Fitness (RF). The three main enjoyment factors are: 1) the class leader (Kieron Ross) 2) the classes themselves 3) the RF members 1) Kieron manages to run innovative, challenging and enjoyable classes that cater for members with different strengths and fitness levels. Every member is pushed to improve their fitness and Kieron achieves this through a personalised and professional approach and also with a touch of humour at the right time. 2) The classes are a great of mix trail-running, core, upper body and dynamic exercises. No class is ever the same and take place in a range of terrains and environments; from old-town Edinburgh at dawn to night-runs up Arthur's Seat and the Pentland hills. This is not just running. I've seen kayaks, space-hoppers and even a washing machine feature in classes. This keeps things lively and interesting. 3) Being a former rugby player, I enjoy exercising with a group of people as I am much more likely to push my fitness to new and improved levels in this environment. While the members have a variety of different interests (running, cycling, rugby, OCR etc.) the common denominator is a love of the outdoors. Most importantly of all, RF members are a friendly and down-to-earth bunch. This makes for a good atmosphere for improving your fitness while enjoying the outdoors in good company. Other highlights include: - post trail-run pub gatherings - RF social events - RF adventure weekends; camping and hill-walking in parts of the UK Get involved.
