I needed some repairs to the stone front of our 1930s built house. The job Stewart done is excellent and all the mess was cleaned up as well, which doesn't happen much these days. The value for money on the job done is first rate and would recommend Stewart as a 1st class tradesmen. A delight to meet, talk and do business with.

I cannot recommend Edinburgh Stonemasons highly enough. Stewart Inkster and his team have just conducted a comprehensive programme of lead and stone works on our listed New Town tenement roof and gutter to make it water tight after some leaks. Stewart assessed our building, organised and coordinated all the works and scaffold and did the stonework himself. It's clear that Stewart understands old buildings expertly: he does exactly what is needed for the building and no more, and works with only the most skilled contractors. Every bit of the work is immaculate and of the highest quality. Stewart's own work is simply beautiful and with painstaking care and attention to detail. The team arrived every day at 8am and worked right through to the evening, in all kinds of weather, left the site clean and tidy and were all a pleasure to work with. The job was also remarkably efficient: the whole lot was done in three weeks and the scaffold down the following day. I can honestly say that even though we had a lot of work done and a full scaffold it was not in the slightest bit stressful. Stewart's oversight of the work and his efficiency in coordinating all the trades took all the worry out of our hands. Most of all, all of us felt completely confident in Stewart's skill, judgement and professionalism. The work was also fantastic value - and for work of this quality, it was an absolute bargain. We all feel lucky to have worked with such a skilled, careful and efficient team, and would work with them again in a heartbeat.

Stuart is our go to stone mason for works across all our buildings. The quality of his work is outstanding and his attention to detail is what we rely on. He is excellent at communicating throughout works from initial assessment through to the finished job. I can highly recommend Stuart and his team.
