This is set in The Waldorf Astoria in Edinburgh. The setting was relaxed and comfortable with good lighting. A lady was playing the piano. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was delicious and melted in your mouth. And the tea, coffee or hot chocolate is unlimited. There's also the option for apple or orange juice. It was an enjoyable experience. And you can take home anything you can't manage to finish.

I would like to say thank you to Lukasz and his team - they deserve a special mention because they made our trip to Edinburgh more memorable than we could have wished for. Luckasz is absolute credit to the business and a wonderful ambassador for the Waldorf brand. The service from the whole team was second to none, we felt welcomed and important from the moment we arrived. The cocktails, although pricey, were out of this world, each one a taste sensation. Well done Luckasz and his team, we wish you every the success. Oh, Ken's 'Scilly' cocktail was sensational, just had to mention that.

We visited Peacock Alley yesterday for afternoon tea. When we arrived the doorman did not open the door into the afternoon tea room, he just stood there beside the door. Then we sat down, we were waiting for one person to join. Our waitress took our coats but when our friend arrived her coat was not taken. We repeatedly had to ask for more tea, it was never offered (even though unlimited tea & coffee is included). We also had to ask for milk repeatedly with the fresh tea. One person had vegan afternoon tea and there was no vegan cream or butter served with the scones, only jam. It has to be said our waitress was lovely, knowledgeable and she did bring everything we asked for, but in comparison to other afternoon tea's in Edinburgh which are available for the same price it, sadly fell short.

I was thoroughly impressed with the iconic location and stylish sophistication of this historic establishment. During my visit, I enjoyed afternoon tea accompanied by the soothing sounds of a live piano. The service was impeccable, and the food was divine. The selection of teas and finger sandwiches was exceptional, and the scones with clotted cream and jam were a particular highlight.
